Speaker – Daniel (Dan) Persico, CIO Virginia Department of Elections
Topic - A brief overview and history of Defense in Depth and an open discussion around this methodology and challenges
Daniel (Dan) Persico is the Chief Information Officer for the Virginia Department of Elections. He has enjoyed a successful IT career for nearly 20 years. Dan has spent the past 10 years in various leadership roles and previously specialized in network engineering and information security. A strong believer in service before self, he spent nearly 15 years in the United States Air Force and has volunteered his time to several charitable organizations. Dan has multiple degrees and various technology certifications. In his personal time, Dan enjoys outdoor recreational activities to include boating, camping and snow sports.
