Title: DNS - Resolving Trouble Before It Resolves You

Abstract: Every attack needs to find its way somewhere, and in most cases that journey starts with DNS. Join us for a practical, vendor-neutral session on DNS security that explores why DNS is one of the earliest and most effective places to disrupt phishing, malware callbacks, and data exfiltration before the real damage begins.

We’ll break down how first-query blocking works, why lookalike domains and fast-moving attacker infrastructure are so effective, and how curated threat intelligence can help defenders spot risk earlier. Whether you work in SOC operations, architecture, engineering, or security leadership, you’ll leave with a clearer view of how DNS can improve prevention, visibility, and incident response across modern environments.

Note:

Chapter Members that hold a ISC2 certification will received up to two CPE for attendance. You must register in the meeting using your full name to be eligible for CPE credits. Your registration and active membership account must also have your correct ISC2 certification ID to be awarded the CPE credits. Not a member? join today at isc2rva.org
